Dara, the former spouse of well-known comedian and skit creator Kehinde Ganiyu, alias Ijoba Lande, has publicly revealed troubling details about their failed marriage.

She described her ex-husband as a compulsive gambler with a violent streak, claiming he physically assaulted her at the slightest provocation.

Refuting his accusations, Dara boldly challenged Ijoba Lande to produce evidence, declaring, “She swore that contrary to the allegations against her, she never slept with 21 men and dared Ijoba Lande to release the video that he has.”

In a candid conversation with Nollywood star Biola Adebayo, Dara shared how the comedian’s manager, Marygold—ironically her own friend—played a pivotal role in the marriage’s collapse.

She accused Ijoba Lande of consistently favoring Marygold during disputes, even when financial disagreements arose.

Addressing a controversial ‘Truth or Dare’ incident at actor Babatunde Tayo’s (Baba Tee) house, Dara blamed Marygold for starting the game. Intoxicated at the time, she vaguely recalled sitting on Baba Tee’s lap, later expressing remorse:

“I was drunk and probably did not know what transpired during the sex dare but recalled sitting on Baba Tee’s legs while regretting playing such a game.” Her revelations shed light on a tumultuous relationship marked by betrayal and regret.
